The Oregon Mini Society Scholarship was established to provide financial assistance and opportunities for success for students interested in pursuing a career in automotive services. With matching funds up to $1,000 from an anonymous donor and $1,000 donation from the Oregon Mini Society, the OMS Scholarship is a $2,000 award for promising students pursuing a degree in Automotive Service Technology or Collision Repair and Refinishing Technology at Clackamas Community College.

Applicants must be a full-time student, have at least a 3.0 GPA, and submit at least 2 letters of recommendation. Recipients of the OMS Scholarship must maintain at least a 3.0 GPA to continue to receive funds. Funds are applied directly toward school expenditures such as tuition, fees, and books. No cash award is given. Scholarship recipients are chosen by a panel of Clackamas Community College Faculty, Department Chair, and an OMS representative.

The average yearly cost for tuition, fees, and books at the community college is at least $6,000. Students pursuing a degree in Automotive Service Technology or Collision Repair and Refinishing Technology can expect to pay several thousand more dollars to purchase their tools and supplies.
